  • This study investigated the prevalence and impact of cutaneous allodynia (CA) in migraine, probable migraine (PM) and tension-type headache (TTH) using a Korean general population-based sample.
  • Approximately 1/6 of participants with migraine and PM had CA, and the prevalence of CA in participants with migraine and PM was higher than participants with TTH.
  • Participants with migraine, PM, and TTH combined with CA had more severe symptoms and more disability than those not-combined CA.

I am Min Kyung Chu, Professor of Neurology, Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. I earned my medical degree at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 1992. I complete neurology resident course at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University in 2002, I started to work as a headache specialist at Hallym University, Anyang, Korea since 2003 and have been an active member of Korean Headache Society. I conducted 2 nation-wide headache epidemiology studies of Korea in 2009 and 2012. I have served as a Vice President of Korean Headache Society since 2010.
